12v not reaching coach

2003 itasca sunova... 12v not communicating with the coach. All batteries fully charged, all fuses are good, all circuits on...when plugged in, coach lights up, when unplugged... Nothing! Problem occurred when running generator... With a/c running, tv running and turned on microwave. Can't trace where the problem is.... Any suggestions? Btw in 106 degree temps... Any quick help would be much appreciated!!!!!!

Have you checked your coach disconnects it will cut all battery power if it's off

I am assuming you mean the on/off switch for the batteries... And if that is so, yes... It is in the on position.

Excuse my ignorance... Would that be on the generator itself? If so, will it look like a normal breaker?

Since it worked while plugged in to shore power, then nothing when disconnected, it sounds like your batteries are not connected, your 12 v power was coming from inverter/charger only. Check battery cables and connections, including ground cable.

The generator will not start either now, would this be a symptom of the inverter as well?

It means that there is an open in the 12 volt line from the batteries to the starting motor or windings in in the gen if it does not have a starting motor.

Check you battery connections to the frame and to the disconnect. You have a bad connection somewhere if your batteries are OK. Have them load tested.

Sounds like a symptom of dead house batteries.

Yes, the generator works off the the coach batteries, so it sounds like your batteries are not connecting to the coach. Check cables and battery disconnect solenoid. Sometimes a gentle tap on it can help it connect.

Jump the solenoid with a jumper cable to see if the coach comes back on also when the switch is turned off and on you should hear it click or pop when solenoid is pulled in

Maybe.
Two months ago my chassis battery had 12.8 Volts but as soon as I put the smallest light bulb on it it would go to about 2 volts. The engine would not start either and it had been running just minutes before.
Replaced battery and she started right up.

Engine starts with no problem. The coach is only experiencing the issues.

That was an example about batteries. It had nothing to do with your engine starting.

Finally broke down and took her in. Turns out there was a faulty line in the panel under the coach, the technician said we would have never found it on our own.
