14 Tour - MagneShade - front cab heat - AC vents

So I was using the RV in West Texas last week and yes it was hot and yes the rig was facing the West. But the front of the cab was extremely hot making the coach pretty hot during the day. The ac's run fine and when the sun stopped the direct line to the front windshield the coach cooled off. So next time I will NOT park facing West if the rv park can accommodate me.

So I'm shopping windshield and side window shades:
Magne Shade question...... The TOUR has a large windshield and part of the bottom of the windshield is not accessible, the bottom 7 inches or so. So, how do you mount the magnets on the bottom? I guess that is a Magne Shade question BUT has anyone with a TOUR had and used a Magne Shade?
I know there are a hundred thread on these shades and other brands but since the TOUR has sortof a strange windshield I am wondering if Magne Shade or another brand would be recommended?

ONE MORE QUESTION.... the rotatable and directional AC vents roughly 6 inches round are plastic and the fins have tabs that easily break. Anyone found direct replacements? I have looked on eBay and Amazon but no luck yet.

Thanks in advance.

I've installed the shades on two Ellipses (identical windshield and dash to Tour) and one Tour - no issues with getting magnets on lower inside corners. You should also place a magnet on the lower outside corners to match the second magnet placed in those pocket locations.

If you order the side window shades have them put a pocket and magnet somewhere in the middle of the bottom edge of the shades. They may have already started doing that routinely, but earlier this year we were asking for that as an add-on.

For the A/C vents call and compare prices between WBGO and Lichtsinn RV (Forest City, IA). There's also an RV parts place east of Forest City right on I-35 that has parts but sorry, can't remember the name.

I have the same windshield as you have on the Tour. I had purchased a Magnashade for my 2015 Ambassador and now use it on the Horizon, it fits just fine. I couldn't install the 2 lowest magnets but the shade still holds tight down there due to all the steel in the lower dash.

If you contact Magna Shade, they will guide you through how to measure your windshield for that particular coach. They are good, but pricey.

In addition, you might check out the threads on installing reflective in your cabinets.

Magne Shades don't require magnets along the bottom of front or side shades. The windshield shade is held in place at bottom by the wipers. Magne Shade provides wiper covers with the shade for that purpose. Magnets hold top and sides.

If glass area has no access inside for internal magnet, external magnets are installed on outside. The ext mounted magnets are less noticeable than the interior ones imo.

We have a MagnaShade on our Grand Tour. When you order yours the people at MagnaShade will walk you thru the installation and magnet locations for the specific model coach. We love ours, by the way. They are expensive but they make a huge difference in interior cooling. Be sure to order one for the driver's side window also.

I don't but when I receive my order I will see if there is anything packaged with the product that gives details. I am probably still 4 weeks out from receiving my order.
