Hello;; We bought One new in 1993 A 33' Vectra Had it untill 2001 Traded it in on the Ultimate Advantage The 1993 Vectra Had Light oak cabinets It was one of the best coachs built; I put headers on it took the muffler off just the cat con. Put aluminum wheels on front Insulated the dog house With 1,1/2" insulation. It quieted It down , It was a dream to drive. Had a tach 3000 RPM, she set on 68 MPH. . Oh I had to peplace the Engine At 55000. Miles which is about the correct longetivety for that engine.. It In our Thinking it was the best coach Winnebage ever built..If you have the Heavey Duty coils in it with air bags . We run the Tires at 95 lbs. Around and the front air bags at 75 lbs. Oh . I allways carryed an extra soleniod with It is mounted up behind the Left rear wheel, It would ingage the little air compressor for the air ride suspension. And I've changed mine in rest stops, it wouldn't engage, Oh bad Solenoid It just uses a standred one I think I still have 3 on the shalve.. A good coach , Good luck . Life is good

Thank you so much, for the feedback! I need as much as possible on this machine so I can do as much as possible to make it enjoyable without headaches as it being 17yrs old it looks great. it has some rust on the bottom of the basement doors and carpet needs replacing. and surface rust on the underpan. I was thinking of it being undercoated in the near future. not sure that is a wise decision? I am very capable of revamping the interior to bring it up to date but do not want to put to much into it if the return value will not be that much at future sale. This is our very first RV and want to see if this lifestyle is for us as we have been boaters for 20 yrs. When i read all the forums they are so informative but scare the hell out of me as to being the p-30 style gasser. What i have noticed so far is also that the tires all in great shape but different brands but front and back all around are 8R19.5 on the door it say's 8r19.5 for front and back 6r19.5 I do not get that and tire pressure is 65lbs. I had driven it with the owner my buddy (who is the current owner) the airbags at the front are at 45lbs and the tires 75lbs and drove well on the highway and back roads. But what do I know what is good and bad! I live just north of Toronto should I put it away for the winter or should I drive it here and there and get use to it? do these things drive well in the snow? do they slip and slide all over the place? so many questions. It also has bilstein shocks. should I get rid of them right away? Should I add suspension upgrades to it before driving it as alot of rvers have done from there experience. I do not want to go broke before enjoying it.
Thanks
Ron

Hey there T,
Thanks allot for the phone conversation. Being a wrencher myself but new to RVing and truck chassis you gave me allot of good pointers and advice that makes sense. Just after talking with you My air ride had went down. Take a look at the winnie forum and see if you can help me. I am Rv virgin and I think I am going to grow up quick! LOL It is very cold here today and going to get to the bottom of this if I can? I would really like to know more about this air ride suspension though. Have to find that primary inline fuse. It will not be a simple as that but a start. it is probably that solenoid as you explained. because of the dreaded location. and I hope only that. Thanks
Ron

Spent a few hours buzzing wires, A few post in here had me thinking of how the jet ride actually works. and over all it is quite simple. I tried looking for the infamous inline fuse for the system with no luck. So if anyone still knows where that is please let me know for future reference. I put my ignition to ACC and put my jet ride to manual mode and pushed the buttons up and down. I was hearing clicking back to the solenoid. when on normal mode with the ignition on ACC I could hear a faint hummmm for a few seconds. Being by myself i had to run to the back of the coach quickly to put a meter on the solenoid to get a reading because you only have a 15 second time frame before it would shut itself down. Now I knew I had power. was it the solenoid or the pump? I disconnected the pump and jumped power directly to it and jumper to ground. The pump fired right up. Thus telling me a bad solenoid. Now through a conversation with a member in here the Bachelor, T had told me this has been an issue with him in the past. because of all the crud that gets thrown at this area under the coach. cleaned all the wires. put it back together and now it works. Must have been a dirty connection. This has been a great learning curve for me at the get go. I hope this can help someone else. i will be ordering a couple more solenoids as they are a cheap and easy trouble shoot. Next my step problem?
Ron
