1993 vectra 33rq generator problems

Hey Guys,
I have a problem trying to start my generator and wondering if I am doing something wrong, I have a close to 1/2 a tank of good fuel, I just put 2 new deep cycle batteries 730's in para. I checked the fuse at the Onan gas generator emerald, I can hear a faint hum when i try to push start button and once it sounded like it would turn a bit. Also when I have shore power on i can use all inside electronics. But when unplugged I have not even any 12volt power?? The coach was just in for safety and e-test with great results. Is there a switch somewhere I am missing or do I have bigger problems? I would like to venture on my first trip Thursday.

Okay went out my 12vlt power on my dash was switched off, 12vlt is working now, but generator 6500 emerald plus still not working, the bus is on a bit of a downhill (not level), can you run the fridge if not perfect on level? will that affect the generator? it ran great last yr. also I hate to be a pain but can you run both air cons at once? I see a switch above the stove it say's front or rear air? the bus is 30 amp, I am running only 15amps to her now.

Have someone push to start botton while you are next to the genset Maybe have your hand on it,. If it clichs, and does nothing == bad starter if it Hums nothing happens =bad starter; What I have experianced. in repairing them . The person pushing the starting button needs to release it as soon as the gen set fires, Other wise it will ruin the armeture ;;; ===m starter replacement,
