1995 Minnie Winnie Steering Column Squeak

We took our 1995 Minnie Winnie on the road today, the steering column has an annoying intermittent high pitched squeak when moving the steering wheel while driving. It's on the Ford E350 chassis with the 460 engine.....

Is this something that a good soaking of WD-40 will fix, or is this a known issue with a specific fix?

Thanks for the advice, this site has been awesome with all of my newbie questions!

Bob

I have a 1999 that squeaks and when I had it inspected they said it was ball joint but they have no grease fittings anymore.

So other than replacing that u-joint did the dealership offer any suggestions? Or is this just something we'll need to learn to live with/tune out?
