1999 Adventurer 37G - Shore plug question

I am brand new to RVing. My question is the RV has a 30 amp cable. They sell the dog bone that will transition for a 30 amp to a 50 amp. Is it safe to plug into the 50 amp service at an RV park. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Yes, it is safe. You will still only have 30 amps available to the coach and your main breaker in the coach will protect you.

Welcome to the forum! Great folks on this site. This is what you are looking for.
Male 50amp with female 30 amp. You shouldn't need one as most places have 30 amps. It those with 50 amp only rigs that have few sites to choose from in the older Campgrounds.

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the same rig. No problems. We do this whenever the 30 AMP electrical outlet in the park is not delivering ample juice.

Enjoy.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have only had my rig since Friday and will be leaving for my first trip in two days. I did not want to destroy it on the first trip by using too much power. Thanks again!
