2001 Adventurer 32 - MPG

Hi All,
Purchased this MH this past fall and have not taken it on a long haul yet. Planning on heading from Southern Cal to Northern Washington this summer. This rig has the workhorse chassis and the 8.1 liter engine. From the experience of you out there, what kind of mpg can I generally expect?

We generally get 6-8 mpg, depending on conditions. Headwinds, speed, terrain, towing will all factor in.

All the above, depends on conditions as well as your right foot pressure. Have a safe trip.

We have the same motorhome on a Ford chassis. The mileage is almost identical being 7.5 mpg towing and 8.5 mpg solo. Back when you could regularly get gas with no ethanol 9+ mpg was not uncommon. I see now that about the only place it's readily available is in Iowa (heart of the ethanol production territory). It seems the farm trucks and older tractors don't like the ethanol. It's usually $.08 - $.10 per gallon more expensive than ethanoll gas. However the mileage difference makes it cost effective.

Thanks all!

Hikerdogs: I'm attempting a shower valve replacement this weekend using your guide. They didn't have the exact model you used back in the day, but I was assured that it would work.
