2003 Journey Slideout Topper

Hi - just curious as to what the bracket mounted on the motorhome sidewall at the front of the slide/topper does. I see that it probably engages with an arm that is on the end of the slide-out topper roll when the slide is brought in.

The reason I ask is because this bracket lost a screw and twisted sideways to get pinched in between the slide and side wall.

Anyway the bracket is off now and will get repaired I just wondered whatís itís purpose in life was!

Thanks Ben

Could be an anti-billowing device.....keeps the topper from unrolling when traveling...
