BTW, the 330 Cat with the 6 sp Allison gives me a lot of power. I suppose the a larger engine would be nicer, but I am satisfied. I have to use cruise control or the first thing I know I'm going 80 mph.

My '02 Journey also has the 330HP Cat 3126e. With the dash A/C condenser on the rear drivers side, and the heat pump radiator on the passenger side rear. Also have the yellow difficult to drain water separator in the same place as the picture.

But I read somewhere that the 330HP was an option, and the 300HP was the standard.

Also agree with others that the 330HP is plenty of power. I can leave the cruise control on in the hills and just manually downshift the Allison 6-speed when the temp starts to rise...that way I can keep the engine temp below the half mark at all times.

Thanks to everyone that posted just curious about a few things right up front trying to learn a little about some of the diesels. One more question, is Cummins the only one that had the side radiator in the the early to mid 2000 units.
And I will look thru the link that was provided for this unit. Thanks again.

As far as I know the rear vs. side radiator is strictly a chassis maker decision--nothing the do with the engine manufacturer. I'm pretty sure Winnebago had both rear and side radiator Freightliner chassis with Cat engines.

Journey and Meridian of that era were fitted with both Cummins ISB, and CAT C7, depending on how they were optioned out. The C7 came in several different flavors 330, 350, etc.) that I THINK was just ECU programming. Neither of those models have ever had a side radiator unless someone did a custom job. The side radiator on the right is house A/C, and the left is Dash

We have this same coach. Cat C7 330 hp with rear radiator. Dash AC condenser on left side. Ours only has one fuel filter. Other Cat engines of this period have two.

Up until about 2010 when DEF became a requirement, Winn had the dash air conditioning unit in the rear driver's side and the house basement air unit in the rear passenger's side compartment. Winn used the PS compartment to house the DEF tank after that and switched to roof ACs.

Our 2004 34H has the optional C7 350hp. Power has never been a problem. Pulled a full size Silverado and didn't even know it was there.
Radiator and CAC is in the back. Heat exchanger is on passenger side, and dash A/C is on drivers side.
At one point i had lost so much power i could barely make it up even the slightest hill. online search (yay Irv2) reveled dirty radiator.
Cut hole in shroud covering the radiator and CAC, sprayed lots of degreaser and HOT water to clean. Power has been back to normal ever since.
Cause of excessive dirt was the slobber tube which i rerouted.
Great MH.

OTOH my MH sits on a Spartan chassis, all Spartan RV chassis is side radiator. My primary fuel filter w/ water separator is in the same place as that yellow one.
Th obvious way to tell is, a side radiator does not have a cooling fan on the engine.
