Neighbor still with no start condition on his 2004 Winnebago Journey C7 Cat.
Located some burnt out high ampere components on the frame rail next to starter.
In the process of removing now. Anyone familiar with these?

It would help if you put the model number for the coach in the post. Have you looked at the wiring diagrams for this coach on Winnebago website? If the control wires to the devices are marked (they are usually edge marked) you can look at the wiring diagrams or look the codes up in the wiring identification guide. It might be the aux start relay or the battery disconnect switch.

on my 02 Journey, 330 cat, there are 3 seperate electrical connections in that area...1st is the 150 amp relay fuse which connects the cable from the plus battery terminal to the rest of the chassis 12v connections. including ignition., the 2nd relay in line is the heater relay for the air intake and the 3rd terminal is the starter relay which goes to the starter solonoid. You can test each very simply...first test fror continuity on 1st relay with a meter, if no continuity ( at both terminals) jumper across the terminals and check if starter works...If it does not work jumper across the starter relay and try to start...note the key must be in the on position for current to flow thru the relays. Most problems have occurred at the 1st relay as the connector inside is just a pressed metal strip and comes loose or corrodes....good luck....RKL

It turns out that that your description of the 3rd relay is my neighbors problem. I thank you for taking the time to help identify I could not get into the Winnebago site with pdf wiring diagrams. Is that information available to consumers?

Beagle - yes, those wiring diagrams are open to anyone. You can find them on the Winnie site under "Resources" or there is a "sticky" at the top of this Winnie forum page with a direct link to the diagrams. However...I don't think the parts in question are shown on the Winnie diagrams. I believe those parts are Freightliner wiring.
