2004 Winnebago Brave 32V hood doesn't close properly

I just bought a 2004 Brave 32V. The hood closes and latches but it tends to tilt outward at the top. I figured it just needed a little adjustment. Well I tried every adjustment I could find but no luck. In fact I'd have to say it is a bit worse now.
Before puchasing this Brave of course looked at several other Class A's. It seems that most of the Winnebagos had this same problem, some worse than others. Keep in mind I was looking in the 2002 to 2005 area to keep the cost down.
So has anybody else had this problem? If so do you have any advice or tricks for adjustment that you can give?

Hmmm...well I have the same front hood on my Sunrise and I have tweaked it a couple of times to keep it working well. On mine the latches came loose and it became difficult to close.
I'll take a closer look at what brings the top in, perhaps it just needs to be tightened up or adjusted.

And welcome to the forum!

Thanks Chris,
I have mangaged to get the top to close in a bit more. But it now is difficult to open. There are about three different locations on each side of the linkage to adjust it. Each adjustment seems to affect another adjustment. I'll get back to playing around with it more later. Since I just bought the RV Friday, I have many more important things to attend to. Just did the Oil and Filter and Air filter today. Fuel filter I'll leave for tomorrow. Then the Transmission fluid and filter change, etc, etc., well you know what I mean. It has 55,250 miles and is the previous owner wasn't to conciencious about maintenance. My guess is that someone took the hood off and never could figure out out to get it back in proper adjustment. But as I stated in my previous post I have come accross several Winnibagos that have the hood out of adjustment. Thought maybe someone else has the same problem.

Chev or Ford?

Definitely do all the service. Brake fluid flush too, coolant, diff fluid. Just do everything.
Both brands will go a LONG time if taken care of. I've owned both.

Watch for tire date codes - and weather cracking/checking.

Somebody local just bought one in this vintage with 26K. Seems they're all over the board.

I have 35K, a lot of redundant service, but I do it myself so no biggie. Just did coolant again for the second time - dexcool.

I keep the trans changed too - cheaper than a new one.

I forgot to look at that hood mechanism last night...
