Does anybody have a 2006 Winnebago Adventurer on the 2006 Workhorse chassis with the Allison 1000 6-speed transmission?

I'm taking delivery on a 2006 33V in a few weeks. The dealer indicated that Winnebago is now using the 2006 WH 22 chassis with the newer Allison on the Adventurer line. I just received the VIN for my new rig and it indicates it is on a 2005 chassis. Per Workhorse, they did not put the newer tranny on the 05 chassis.

Winnebago has not yet responded to my inquiry, not sure why. If any of you have a 2006 Adventurer 33V (Workhorse), please let me know if you have a 5 or 6 speed Allison

Batwings, unless you were able to order the 2006 chassis with the new 6 speed, you will most likely get the next chassis off the storage lot. I have a 03 coach with a OCT-02 chassis. YOU would have to wait for the 06 until they were shipped to Winne also.
If the vin# you have says 05 thats what it is.
Newmar builds the coach to your spec's not sure you can order a specific chassis from them either, unless maybe its a SSC order. "007"

When we ordered our 2004 Adventurer, October 17th if memory serves, they were still building coaches on 2003 chassis. They did have some 2004 chassis there though, we were able to request ours to be built on a 2004.

(Ours is a Ford, there were some changes for the 2004 model year we wanted. Glad we went that way.)

tderonne's got it right... Same thing for us when ordering a new Brave back around Labor Day in '03. Ordered in 9/03 and requested a '04 chassis; delivery was mid-October.
