2007 Adventurer 35L Hot Water heater

I am winterizing my newly purchased 35L and where the exhaust comes out on the side of the coach for the water heater there is no door access. When I pull the drivers side slide out I see a panel with six screws. Is that where I find the drain plug? If it is will I have to crawl under the slide to get to it? Jim

It's another dumb Winnebago move to cut costs. You have to look on the under side and you will see 4 screws that have to be removed to open the bay door to access the water heater. The bay door will swing up same as the rest, but it will not stay up on it's own. Winnebago didn't even furnish a stick to prop it open.

I did this http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/ind...1740#msg321740 mod to mine and it works good so the heater is easy to get to.

Forgot to add your basement AC/Heat pump bay is accessed the same way.

My 2007 Adventurer 33V has bay door access for the hot water tank - door has a hole for the exhaust. I am surprized the 35L is sooo different.
Sure you arent mistaking the propane heater for the hot water tank?

I located the exhaust...just could not find how to get to the water heater itsself. Zippo said there are several screws at the bottom that come out to open the door. I have never seen it done in that manner. Jim

Jim, when you put those screws back in don't tighten them to tight or you will strip them out. The material they go into is very thin. After a few times of in and out you will have to go to a larger screw. Or install the latch mod.
