2007 Adventurer 38J - remove screens
In our main living area (the Dining area) there are 3 large Windows which have crankouts at the bottom half.
The screens in those halves are pretty dirty (especially after sand storms in Yuma). I see the pull tabs but there is a crank mechanism that I think needs to be taken care of.
Does anyone know how to remove these screens - specifically detach the crank mechanism and more importantly re-attach?
Thanks

Not sure, but seems to me I looked at that and you have to remove the handle. Is there a screw in the center of it? I know my wife cleaned ours with out taking them off, but I'm sure she would have if it was easy! I could have a look tomorrow if you like.

I se you have the Tiger trak, how much difference did it make? I'm pretty happy with the way ours handles now, but improvements are always good.

I have the Workhorse chassis so things may be different if you have the F53.
I think Ford made big improvements sometime in 2000s to the F53 chassis to improve the RV experience.
I bought the MH used and drove it from FL to MI. It was a tiring experience (wandering, constant steering adjustment, etc.). San wanted to be able to drive the rig and she would not have been happy.
I did some research and recalled that in my youth I experienced working on and driving dirt track cars. We used track bars on them.
So I had all of the following mods done together:
Koni Shocks, Tru-Steer (primarily for safety), and Trak Bars. The difference was significant but I don't know how much to attribute to the Trak Bars.
San easily drives her 3 hours and the rig drives almost as steady as my 1994 F-150.
The Tru-Steer has come in handy as we travel from MI to AZ and back especially in the wind. Parts of TX, NM, and AZ can have steady side winds. At a push of a button we can continue to have a centered wheel which reduces the arm tension sufficiently to be worth it.
Thanks for your feedback regarding the screens. I will look but I do not recall seeing a fastener.

We have the W24 chassis and I also bought it used. Drove it home from Cornwall Ontario, 4200 km . It drives very good stock, but I am thinking of building a trac rod for the back to see if it makes a difference. I have built lots of suspension components and have all the time to do this. My wife also drives but I limit her to the open roads and do the tighter driving in the cities.
