Traded down from a 2004 Horizon 40' DP to the above gas. I know it is early but are there any concerns (problems) I should be aware of as I break in this unit? One of my concerns is that there is a lack of info concerning oil changes. With the DP I took it in annually and had it serviced as we drive less than 5000 miles annually. Anything, about everything, would be helpful.
Thanks

I did the same thing a year ago. Went from a 40' HR Endeavor to an Adventurer 32H. Haven't looked back. I miss the 400 HP, but little else. I have a Ford chasis and change the oil every 5,000 miles per the book. What chasis do you have? Also, there is no break-in period that I am aware of.

My Winnebago book states 3000 mile changes. I do have the GM 8.1/Allison. If I recall correctly my Workhorse manual also states 3000 mile changes for severe service. Motorhome usage, especially towing a vehicle, is severe service.

Most DP owners say they would never go back to gassers. What were your reasons to trade down?

we have a 2009 Itasca Suncruiser 32H on the Ford Chasis, traded "up" from a 07 Winnebago Vista 30B
I guess there are a couple things about it now that we have had it for a while that i wish were different.
1. what seems to be excessive body roll...we plan to add the sway bars front and rear as well as a track bar in the rear soon
2. The dash board vents don't really pump out the air as much as i would like
3. The furnace heat/air flow seems weak
4. if you use the heat pump, it sure is noisy
5. sure is difficult to get to the tire stem on the rear inside tires
6. get alot of creaking from the full wall slide when going down the road...use the screw type slide locks to keep it snugged up and that helps alot
7. the inside cabinet storage is difficult to use, many of the cabinets are very small and oddly shaped, you really have to plan out where to put what
on the positive side,
1.the floor plan (for us) is fantastic, plenty of room, and a main coach TV that is actually viewable from several different seat positions
2. the ride going down the road is worlds better than the Vista,
3. and the refinements (over the Vista) make the long road trips very comfortable
4. the double refrigerator works great
5. kitchen area is very usable
5. having larger water tanks is a big plus when dry camping

We had an '08 32H, loved it, and then upgraded to the DP when we started fulltiming.
In the 1 1/2 years we had it we had no trouble. Our only caution is to keep the two weep holes clear on the exterior of your full wall slide. (Poke a straightened paper clip in there.) If they clog up, your slide locks will fill with water and pour inside the closet and/or cabinet.
Great rig. Unlike your DP, you'll be able to park just about anywhere. (We miss that!)
Best wishes for many happy, safe and trouble-free miles.
Mary

About an inch or two below the top of the slide, on the exterior wall. Find the slide lock boxes inside, then look in the corresponding location outside and you'll see them. They look the purpose-less bolts. But, look closer and you'll see a small hole in the center. That's the weep hole!
Hope that helps,
Mary

MM--I think I got my pamphlet by calling Ford. I looked and couldn't find one on the web.

I've attached a picture of one of the weep holes on our Tour. The top of the picture is the top of the slideout. The bottom of the picture is the top of a window awning.
Hope this helps.
( I didn't realize our coach was soooo dirty! )
