2011 View MPG report

Just got back from our maiden voyage with our new (to us) 2011 View 24K. We picked it up in Orlando and arrived home this week in Montana.
The total trip was 2642 miles and we averaged 14.15 mpg. The worst mileage was from Clarksville KY to St Louis - 12.65 mpg (stuck in traffic for an hour) and our best was from Rapid City SD to Billings MT - 16.47 mpg. That last tank was at about 65 mph and with no A/C on.
Does this sound about average to the other View owners out there?
Great trip by the way but we only had 6 days and we should have taken at least 2 weeks to properly see the sights.

Congrats on your new rig and her maiden voyage.

The diesels I'm familiar with tend to get better mileage once they are "broken in" which can be as much as 50k miles. I'm not familiar with your motor though.

Cummins testing shows it takes 140,000 miles to establish a good fuel mileage base. I'm still working on the 40,000 mile part!!
Maybe the engine will be broken in by the time my wife and I can retire!

I thought this engine would have been broken in by 20,000 miles! This is good to know. Now I have to put some more miles on.

We typically avg 15-17mpg in our 2010 View. Has been as high as 18mpg for one tank and as low as 12 mpg...really depends on speed, terrain, and wind.

We are going across country in our 2012 ERA and the last tank, with A/C on and traveling 65 mph was 18.3. The engine has 5k miles on it. This milage was calculated, not computer generated. So far, so good!
