Will be picking up a 35P and wanted to install the CB radio from my 03. The unit is "prewired" for CB... dealer says power and antenna lead is somewhere under the dash... but where is the antenna located at the roof. Winnie did not install an antenna like they did on my 03. As an alternative, I could route new antenna wire up the corner window cover and use a glass mounted antenna... also what antenna can I use? Just glue a magnetic one?

Nope... not possible...
from the lack of commets, I guess CBs are old tech... but it really is nice to know why there is a huge traffic jam from the trucker conversations.
Guess I'll just use my portable one.

Unless it changed recently, prewire only means there is 12V wiring, not antenna wire (you are right, earlier years it included both and the "rusty" antenna). My 08 has the 12v wiring (no coax) and it is very hard to find...it's in the the area of the steering column. I removed the cover on the windshield support and ran the coax up into the overhead compartment...there's room under that cover...a channel. I mounted a no-ground-plane Firestick antenna on the roof.

I just went thru the Winnie accessories/parts catalog. The small pic of the CB antenna looks like a magnetic mount... I assume Winnie just caulked the heck out of the thing to make it stick on the roof...Think I'll just use the handheld CB and live with its short range... It should give me the info I need about traffic jams...

The only thing shown in the wiring diagram is 12VDC connection on page 2 (Diagram AA at top left) which is reffered to from location B8.

When all else fails give Winnebago Customer Service a call. I agree old tech, but when you are in a caravan, either one of your own or with Winnebago they do come in handy, and Winnebago does require them on the WIT caravans.
