2019 View Roof cable access

I'm considering adding a WeBoost cell booster to our new (to us) 2019 24V View. I think that I read somewhere that there is a cabin-to-roof cable access port in the 2019 View. Haven't been on the roof yet, but I don't believe that the hole has been drilled in the roof. Anyone know anything about this or have installed one of these boosters? Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Check in the cabinet behind the television above the galley. there should be a plug/cap in the ceiling labeled, "roof access" (you can see the bottom of the circle in the top of the photo).

Thanks for the response. RV is in the shop right now, but I'll check it out when I get it back.

You're welcome.

I'm considering the Winegard 2.0 4GI if I can find out if it can successfully use the SIM card from my Mobley ($20/month unlimited data), since it both boosts wifi and can be used as a hotspot if I want to stream Netflix or Amazon.

Best,

Dave

WeBoost

The WeBoost unit only amplifies available cell tower signals and re-transmits them to cell phones inside the RV. It does not require a SIM card and does not work with WiFi signals. It costs $ 500 and I'm still looking for testimonials as to how well it actually works.

We gave up trying to use campground RV services long ago. Too many RV'ers trying to stream movies and hogging all of the bandwidth.

at&tYeah. My understanding is most compgrounds pretty much block streaming. We use the Mobiley from AT&T pretty much everywhere. On occasions where there is a poor AT&T signal (rarely), we do revert to campground wifi, but it is usually slow and we're limited to web browsing and email. I used a ubiquity wifi booster antenna and it's fine for in the campground, but it doesn't make streaming possible if the campground has blocked it. That's why I'm going to the Winegard Connect to replace the Mobley hotspot. It costs far less Than the WeBoost and does both the hotspot thing (using an AT&T or Verizon SIM) and also boosts Wifi, so it's a twofer for my usage.

Winegard also makes the ToGo, which is the same thing but limited to AT&T and also has a decent unlimited plan - but you pay for it one year at a time....

I use a small mobile hotspot (ATT) or my iPhone with hotspot on (Visible, uses the Verizon network) inside my RV. If signal is weak (1 or 2 bars), I use a WeBoost Sleek 4G booster that boosts 1 device at a time, has a roof top antenna plus signal boost. Under $ 200. I just ran the roof top antenna cable out the top of the entry door. If 3 bars or better than the booster makes no improvement in data speeds. About 20% of places I camp benefit from the WeBoost Sleek.
