Angry 36' 2008 Journey

Anyone with this Winnebago model or the Itasca Meridian have a dent in the panel directly behind the front slide-out? Ours wasn't noticed till we bought it and so we brought it to the attention of the factory respresentatives when we were there last summer. They ordered a new one...it came in dented as well. Their response "That's just the way they are, the Meridians have them too." In other words.....we will not be doing anything about it. Don't think this is an acceptable answer given the investment we have in this RV.

Size of dent? Have you confirmed their claims by going to other dealerships to see other 2008 Journeys and Meridians?

About how high up from the lower edge of the coach is this dent, and about what size is it? Is this just below the toilet window? Sounds like something is happening in shipment and Winnebago just accepts it that way.

I made a mistake in the length of the 2008 Journey. It's the 37' and yes, we have seen other coaches with the same dent. The panel is of different material than the basement doors adjacent to it and the dent is concaved covering about 3/4 of the middle of the panel. It is hollow on the inside. We were at the factory in Iowa when they sent over the new panel.....I believe it was made right there.

We have personally seen other coaches with the same dent, in the same place on our travels cross country.
