Need to replace the front TV. I loosened the 2 brackets underneath, but it seems to me that I need to take the top of the cabinet off to get to the other anchors. How? I loosened the screws around the top but it won't move. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Day52,

I replaced the tv in my 38r last xmas. It's not real hard but it is quirky. You got the two bolts that come through the brackets into the lower cupboard. The next thing you need to do is remove the two trim pieces from the front of the cabinet at the top and bottom of the TV. They are just stapled to the wood so carefully pull them off. Now the quirky thing is that the black steel bracket you unbolted earlier is actually glued to the top of the TV not bolted somewhere else. It will come out with the tv. Lastly there was a safety wire bolted to the rear of the tv. I had to remove the vent cover thats behind the passenger seat to get at it. Once those are done you can unplug the power cord, disconnect the Surround Sound cords and cable connection and then most importantly...... Get some help!!!!! that dang thing weighs 140LBS! I've included a link to another thread on the forum that should help you out a ton also. Installation of Sony 32 inch LCD in Horizon 40AD
I used it when I did mine. The picutres are worth 5000 words each. Good Luck, hope I helped.
