I had a short which caused my running lights to burn out the fuse. So I was using my 4 way that night until I got to a safe place to park for the night. I found the source of the short (corrosion around a splice that CW did !!). But now my 4 way doesn't flash.
1. replaced the flasher, at least I think I replace the proper one. I tested this plug and it has no power when I activate the flasher button.
2. The brakes will light up all running lamps when the flasher button is on and the brakes applied.
3. no burnt fuses
what am I missing? I think based on above, the switch is working, but no power to the flasher...is there another flasher? I know where the turn signal flasher is...and this flasher is located behind the dash board.

update:
tested the flasher that is on the 4 way by putting it on the turn signal circuit. IT works. Turned on the flasher button and if I push the lever towards the left, the 4 way flashers work...but the dash lights do not flash. So I assume it is a switch problem. I am not interested in spending big bucks to fix this. Anyone can tell me a way to install my own switch and bypass the column switch.
