My 93 Brave has a full length fiberglass roof. It appears to have a rough surface added to it (not smooth like the sides). Is this factory applied or added later? I do not think anything has been done to the roof looking at the prior owners records so I assume it is factory. Can someone "qualified" clarify this and especially, if I need to coat it as a preventative measure and if so WHAT to use. Thanks!!

I strongly doubt any "rough surface" on the fiberglass roof was from the factory. It could be just weathering of the fiberglass gelcoat ...hard to say without seeing exactly what you are talking about. Normally, care for a fiberglass roof is occasional washing and perhaps waxing with auto wax ...some use floor wax...
