Hi all,

I have a new to me 32' Adventurer that I just found has a crack/gouge in the roof. It was hidden by the awning when I inspected before buying and didn't notice it until this weekend camping with the awning down.

It is not too severe (in the shape of a C and not fully through the roof but did create a soft spot) and I am confident I can seal it with the proper materials.

My question is what type of roof do I actually have on this coach? Best I can describe it is "textured" off white. Rubber? Fiberglass? OR some composite mix of the two, or...?

Could use some help and would really appreciate a caulk/sealant/repair material by brand and name if you indeed know of the right one.

THANKS!

I have a 95 Adventurer, 34 foot and it is fiberglass roof. Eternabond would be my choice if yours is fiberglass

Pretty sure all Winnebago's have the fiberglass roof. You describe "textured" and fiberglass is smooth, so I'm thinking someone tried to patch repair or some such.
Totally agree with the use of Eternabond Tape for this repair, however I'd also try to remove the "textured" material from around the crack so that the Eternabond has a smooth surface to adhere to. Just my thoughts on the matter, best of luck.

Bought some Eternabond...Bright White on one side with the sticky stuff covered by a clear protective film on the other. Looks like good stuff.

Unfortunately, the white color doesn't match with my off-white roof and the repair is in a conspicuous place. Is this stuff paintable?

I repaired my fiberglass top with fiberglass body bough like they use at body shops. The damage looked like a golf ball had fallen onto the roof and indented into the top. You can carefully sand the patch and paint it to match your top.
