We had a steady weekend of light rain and when we rolled up our awning water was gushing out. It was also leaking all weekend from underneath.
It seems like the material is 2 sided and air and water have become lodged in between causing large bubbles. We've noticed the smaller round ones before but none ever held water. The newest one is about 3 ft long and 8 in tall. We had to roll up the awning 4 times to get most of the water out but there is still some in there.

We bought our Itasca Sunova new in 2007. Do awnings usually only last a couple of years? What can we do to fix this? Can we buy a replacement awning fabric or do we have to go with a whole brand new system?

You can replace the fabric only. If it were me I would complain to A+E very loud, it may not do any good but what do you have to loose. I had a problem with the slide toppers on an 02 after five years I complained and they paid for new fabric if I supplied the labor. I replaced the fabric on the patio awning on the 02 after 8 years it was starting to do the same thing.

We change fabrics out weekly for delam. Find a good dealer and they should be able to get it covered by warranty. If you are in NE Fl. come by and see our warranty dept. She is very good at getting things covered that is out of warranty. Email me at service@rickbakersrvcenter.com.
