1999 Vectra tour 37b. New basement A/C works fine on shore power, but when not plugged in and using the gen when I turn on the A/C the breaker on the gen trips. New to this whole thing and hoping I can get some ideas.

Might have a weak/worn breaker on the gen. What happens if you run other high demand appliances on the gen such as the MW, or electric heater? Does the new AC unit have the same current specs as the old?
