I recently went to start my 2002 Journey diesel generator at the systoms panel inside the coach.
I pressed the switch and held it for 4-5 seconds and nothing happened.
I went to my dash mount switch and pressed it and the switch blinked while the fuel heater was on and when it stopped blinking it started right up. I am sure if I had held the systoms panel switch in a second or two longer the genny would have started.
My question is. Is the systems panel gen. start switch also supposed to blink while in the pre heat mode?

Ron,

Next time you try to start your generator from the 'One Place' panel, press the start button and watch the dash switch. The dash switch will blink while the pre-heat system does it's stuff, but the one-place panel switch will not.

Just keep the switch at the 'One Place' panel depressed and the generator will go thru it's pre-heat process, and start.

Hope this helps.

Pusherman has it right. I got fooled the same way until I happened to glance at the dash switch as I was pressing the switch at the One Place panel.
