First motorhome jitters. Found a 2002 with incredibly low miles (12,000), lp generator (67 hrs.)and sofa/wardrobe slide. Any reason(s) I should or should not buy this unit instead of a lesser maker's brand new unit? What about adding a Good Sam (or other brand) of extended warranty?

Thanks for your input.

The only thing that would bother me, specifically, is the generator. That unit only has 12G of LP capacity - or ~12 hors' generator use before the LP is dry.

Otherwise - if it checks out, go for it! The powertrain is a good one - still used the 7.3L Powerstroke.

I'm hoping to swap out the 12 gal LP tank for a larger one. If anyone has done that on their RV, please share your thoughts.

TrailerFool, looks like a good buy, except for the lp generator, why not switch to a diesel generator might be more practical, good luck. Ed.S
