There has been a lot of discussion regarding the filters usually found under the bed for the AC/HP units. The size is 14" X 20". I have looked high & low for this size of filer and can't find them. Some contributors have recommended a high quality filter such as the 3M brand but I can't find the size. I have tried the local Home Depot and other outlet carrying filters. Where do you find the correct filters?

I have the same size and I buy mine at Lowe's. I buy the cheap brand and change them often. I use the cheapies cause they do not restrict the air flow as much. If you have serious allergies then the more expensive type may be the one for you. The arrow on the filter goes down. Merry Christmas

That's strange because I have found the 14x20 size to be readily available at HD or Lowes.

Ditto. I just saw the 3M Filtrete high performance filters in the 14 x 20 x 1" size yesterday at Lowe's.

Same here - no problem finding them. I think I even found the "cheapies" at Walmart.

I doubt that the big box stores are stocking the filters just for RVers so they must be commonly used in home heat/AC units. Maybe something in Canadian building codes precludes using that size in home units up there?? You may have to resort to internet shopping...
