I did a quick easy addition to my inverter. An upgrade if you will.
Let me digress. There are absolutely no electrical outlets hooked up to my DC/AC inverter. My wife wanted to be able to use/charge our laptop computer while on the go. Also she wanted to use it during times we did not have shore-power and didn't want to run down the laptop's battery.
Soooo....I unscrewed the three phillips screws on the front panel covering the inverter/entertainment switcheroo box. The inverter is stuck to the shelf with velcro ( if you can believe it), but made it easy for removal. The only things that were plugged into the back of the inverter were the TV and the DVD player. The plug-in is a regular three pronged residential wall style. So I bought a three pronged 3-way plug and plugged it into the back of the inverter. MAKE SURE...it will fit between the shelves as there is not that much room I found out. (The inverter plug-in is horizontal on the back). You'll see what I mean if you try it.
I plugged in a short extention cord and ran it down the side to the front of the cabinet where the front cover-panel doesn't cover. It sits right behind the cabinet door. We just ran the laptop's AC power cord up the passenger-side front window column with small black squeesable paperclips to the extention cord plug. (Or we could just let it hang down in the way of our view). Granted the extention cord sticks out of the front cabinet while in use, but who's lookin'.
You can plug anything else to the inverter now if you want, within the capabilities of the inverter.
Hope this helps anyone who realized to late like we did after we bought the motorhome about the no outlet to inverter issue. It was an easy fix and everything went according to plan!
