My 2002 Adventurer has 2 6V deep cycle batteries that are housed underneath the stairs along with the one chassis battery. I'm looking to add 2 more deep cycle batteries when I get the inverter/charger installed. It appears as though there's enough room to add the 2 additional batteries. Anyone with a similar setup have success adding more batteries?

If so, where did you install the inverter? I removed my spare (19.5") from the storage bin just to the left side of the entrance and mounted it on the hitch so the storage compartment is empty. Thinking this might be a good place since it right next to the batteries.

What do you think?

Sangone,
I replaced my two 12v batteries with 4 trojan T 105s. and put them in under the step. Its a tight fit but they'l make it. I had already installed the Heart 2500 watt inverter charger in the same bay you are talking about. Good location cause its close to the batteries & the circuit breaker panel. I took the easy way out & wired the inverter to the main circuit, so you have to watch if your running appliances & the power goes out you'll kill yor batteries pretty quick. We were at a FMCA chapter campout running the Tv heatpump etc. when I looked across the lake & seen the lights were all out. I moved pretty quick & shut off the heat pump & the electric hot water tank & switched the fridge to gas. The TV & lights never blinked. Somewhere on this forum I had someone post the pics of the battery compartment. You might do a search.
