Adding Seat Belts to Nation 24M

Purchasing Nation 24M and it only has 1 seatbelt in dinette, none on sofa. What is best way to add/reinstall seat belts?? Videos of the 24M show several more on both sofa and dinette. Any thoughts?? Local Winnie dealer and MB no help at this point.

No idea why yours didn't come with what they showed in the video. Maybe call the manufacturer on that issue. Maybe they never got installed?

It's a custom job to a DIY'er, and not too difficult. You buy some plates of steel about 6" X 6" X 1/4" and drill a hole in each to match a hole you drill in the floor. If you can weld them to the frame, or to welded structural items you add to nearby chassis rails, so much the better. Plates need to be stout as you can imagine. And need to mate flush to the underside of the floor. Some RVs this can be difficult of course, others, it's a breeze.

Then use hardened bolts through the seat belt mounting plates, through the floor into the under floor plates. With all the typical hardware. You can get seat belts from any junk yard and you're looking for SUV or large vehicle sizes. The retraction devices can be removed if needed.

Have you looked under the seats of the dinette and sofa? Many owners who don't use them regularly (my wife & I included), tuck them under the seat to get them out of the way.

Yes, found the 2 sofa belts buried. But still only one on dinette, water tank there, but clearly no second on front facing dinette, will see how I can get the second, no idea why not there. that give me 5 belts including in 2 seats up front, will e ok, but with grandkids (liteweight) #6 would help, but 5 can be ok.

Anyone add a table hole in front of sofa??

Winnebago will build seat belt positions based on the CCC rating of the coach and what furniture is installed. I have a V floor plan and it has 2 seat belts, the G model only has 1 seat belt, and the J model has 3 seat belts.

If you were buying this coach to haul a large number of kids around, you should have looked at something far larger - like a touring van.

Totally agree. 5 is fine, and we will always have a large SUV with us. Looks like the M model has 3. But a 50 lb grandkid is different than their 250 lb parent. Thus the SUV.

Anyone install a second table hole in front of sofa??
