Advice Needed

May trade my 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD for a 2016 Ellipse 42QD or 2015 Tour. Both my bigger slides on my current unit use the power gear rams. I am concerned about the slide rail used on the passenger side slide. It is not the snake rail but the rail with vertical teeth. What do I need to know about these. I will try to add a picture of the rail on the 2016.

The rail shown is the Power Gear gear track. Winnebago switched to the Schwintek slide mechanisms for awhile but after a lot of problems they switched to the Power Gear slide mechanisms. It appears that the Power Gear slide mechanisms are less problematic than Schwintek.

A mechanic at our dealership told me that when they get an RV in with a Schwintek slide mechanism that is having problems they don't bother trying to fix it. They just replace it with the Power Gear mechanism.
