AGM that is rated for charge voltage of 15 volts?
I have a 2000 Dimensions Inverter /converter and they told me to avoid an AGM unless it can take a conditioning voltage of 15 volts. Does anyone know of an AGM battery that can ? Dimensions would not recommend a battery but said they were not aware of an AGM with a 15 volt condition charge capacity. They said I should stick with wet?
Any advice

I am going to say something about AGM's..
There are some myths and some facts in "common knowledge" about AGMS
The Myth is that they last longer... Generally.. They do not last any longer than good quality (TROJAN) Flooded wet cells
There is a half myth that they charge Faster.. LIFELINE does. others.. Not so sure. Xantrex recommends the same charge rate for AGM as for flooded wet cells
The facts are: Maintenance free, Low gassing, Low/No maintenance, can be mounted sideways, upside down, on end at angle and such
And the big fact is COST MORE
IF, access for maintenance (IE: Topping off water) is not an issue, your best choice is CG-2 six volt golf car batteries..
Lots of myths on them too... One is that they somehow have more capacity than 12 volt batteries: Well,,, there are many 12 volt batteries out there and trust me, some of them have very large capacities indeed (like 1,000 amp hour or more) it all depends on the battery.. Pound for pound. Amp hour capacity is more or less constant.
They are, however, designed very well, and are designed to be neglected a bit.. And in my own expierence they can take a deep discharge better than most starting batteries (That is a side effect of the deep cycle design)
But the big fact is due to the popularity of this battery.. at the moment (This is changing) they are less expensive than many 12 volt configurations
And that .. . Is why I recommend them.

A battery engineer recommended this
MK Battery 8A8D, 12 Volt, 265 Amp Hour, Sealed AGM Solar Battery
Detailed Description These are completely sealed, absorbed glass mat, valve-regulated batteries with efficient recombination. UL Recognized components to UL MH17218. AGM batteries are recommended for battery backup standby power systems where batteries are in float service with occasional deep discharges. They can operate at temperatures from -40 to 140 F. Delivered from one of 20 MK warehouses across the US.
Volts
12
Terminals
T975
Capacity (Ah)
245 - 257
Dimensions (in) L x W x H
20.8 x 11 x 10
Weight lbs
161
The Benefits of a MK AGM Battery
Sealed Absorbed Technology:
- Completely sealed; valve regulated battery with efficient recombination.
- 250 quality control checks through ISO 9001.
- UL recognized components MH17218.
- Rated non-spillable by ICAO/IATA/DOT.
- Forged terminals and bushings assure no leakage.
- Tank formation ensures voltage matching between cells.
What do you see as the pros and cons?
