What do you have? A co2 cylinder with a regulator and how large a cylinder do you have?

Air compressors?

I have a upright Porter Cable same as the Craftsman I installed a filter on it with a drain. I leave mine plug in a cargo bay where it already has a receptacle the hose is one of those smaller blue synthetic 1/4" hose it will reach all tires without removing it from the cargo bay. Brand new DW got it for $40 at a Good Will.

I just bought the Viair 400p RV model and tested it out. It is realy neat. Yes it was 250.00 but it is easy to use, comes with a storage bag, attachments that make it easy and accurate, like the screw on chuck. It is small, powerful, and light weight. comes with two 30ft coiled hoses that store nice in the bag. I am very impressed with the unit.

I bought a 20 lb. CO2 tank from Poly Performance and added a Victor dual gauge CO2 regulator. I bought the regulator on eBay for about $25.00. It has a pressure gauge for the tank pressure and one for the output pressure. With the handle I can adjust the output from near 0 PSI to 200 PSI as needed. After three years I'm still on the first tank of CO2, no idea how long it will last. The expansion from liquid to gas for CO2 is quite large so a 20 lb tank should last along time. If you buy a CO2 regulator make sure its marked in PSI and ant in Inches of cut per minute as used by welders.

I mounted the CO2 bracket and tank centered in the basement and can easily access it from either side. As I said its fast and very quite.

Air compressors?

Aren't those tanks usually filled to around 500psi. Used for air hoists and things? That is why DOT doesn't require a safety cap on them they don't have the threads for one.

I use a home compressed & carry a 12v unit on the road. Never have I needed to use the 12v unit on the road! Keep your tires inflated right before you hit the road an your OK

That depends, like everything else. I always check my tire pressures everyday prior to hitting the road and if needed top them off while they are still cold. On longer trips you may require some topping off to properly maintain tire pressure. But if you want to check tire pressure only once for a trip, that's your option.

I carry a small Husky 120V portable aircompressor I got from Home Depot. It says it is good for up to 130psi and my tires only require 100psi.

It is for emergency tire repairs - along with the plug kit - while on the road. I have to run the genny to use it, but that seems like a very minor thing.

I went with a 120VAC since the 12V didn't seem to be able to get the pressure I need to fill the tires.

Just recently bought a Viair 450p RV for my new coach and love it. Used it for the 1st time to adjust all pressures once I got the coach weighed and it took no time. Very compact and nice travel bag it comes in as well. I think it's well worth the cost! On my previous coach I tapped into the on-board air compressor but found it to be more time consuming and the coach had to be running to get air.

Craftsman also sells the same unit as Fini only branded Craftman of course. I'm happy with it.
