Probably should mention that you have a gas motorhome. You could maybe ask Winnebago service what is in ceiling area or install horns under the front grill area.

Hi, Bigchick!

Would it be rude to ask why?

Thanks!

Francesca

It would be nice to have something that would be sure to get the attention of a daydreamer----or a jerk!
I thought about doing the same thing but figured that mounting the horns under the hood would be much easier

My 03 Dolphin LX has air horns which I installed---under the hood----really too loud so I run them on another button. Very effective for the errant "driver". And I can air up my tires and use air tools 150psi.

Everything I say relates to my Dolphin and may not do yo any good.

You can begin by removing the windshield trim on the drivers side---most likely that will be the path of the air tubing anyway. My anemic electric roof mount horn is in that area and the wire runs down that channel---but I cannot see where the horn wire come through the roof, but I can tell which wire it is in the channel by the windshiled--so my idea is to remove the horn from the roof--open where the wire runs through the roof and run a fish tape in and toward the front. Another person can grab the fish tape for me so I can run the air hose so I have air and electrical located wher my "fake" horn is now. That way I will have a rood ghorn which activates when I push the steering wheel horn button.

I also replaced my under hood electric Fiam snail horns with Hadley 5" electrics----they give a loud and satisfying beep beep.

My son, has a Dodge p/u that he installed a "train' horn on. It works off 12V with a small compressor and air tank and believe me, when he hits the button, you think a real train is on you butt and it gets everyones attention. It is really awesome; I don't know the website, but I'm sure if you Google "train horns", you will find them. Every time he comes to visit, they usually leave in the evening and I have him blast that thing down the neighborhood just to p/o the people I want to.
