My drain lanyards on the front air tanks don't look like the cables have ever been uncoiled. Lying under the coach, I pulled each lanyard (not both at the same time). I pulled and I pulled and I pulled! Nothing happened. I put my finger on the drain valve where the lanyard attaches, and pushed. The valve released air. Both worked the same way. What's up?

If you only found two, you still have one more somewhere. If they are still wrapped around something, they won't be able to open the drain valves.

On my coach, two lanyards are toward the back of the wheel well, and the other is near the front. I use my awning tool to reach them.

Did you air up your tanks?

If the coach has been sitting awhile all the air may have bled off.

gfs1943, I have the same unit as you, the two lanyards on the rear of my tanks pass through a couple of holes in the frame just behing the passenger side tire. The one from the front of the tanks are in the same place behind the driver side tire.

If you pull the valve straight, they will not drain, they must be pulled to the side or pushed in. The tanks do have to be aired up to pust water out. I have never got any water out of mine, that I couls see but still drain occasionally.

If you need pictures, I can probably get some soon.

Thanks Wizard, that's the answer I was looking for. I didn't have any problem finding the lanyards, and the air system was at full pressure. What I wanted to know was, "Why don't the drain valves release air when I pull the lanyards?" Next time I have the coach here at the house, I'll try the sideways pull. Makes sense to me now; I was pulling straight out on the lanyards. BTW, I didn't get a drop of water out of the tanks.
