Any Tour 40FD owners near Indianapolis?

My wife and I want to buy a Winnebago Tour 40fd.

We looked at one a year ago and after looking at all the floorplans we are pretty sure this is the one we want.

We have seen some online in Arizona and Florida but can't seem to find any locally. Are there any 40FD owners near Indianapolis that would let us look at theirs just so we can make sure this is the right floorplan for us before we start the process of trying to purchase one out of state?

Thanks
Brandon

I just traded a '05 Vectra 40FD. Beginning in '08 Winnebago/Itasca went to chassis basement storage. Previous storage was mounted under the slides. We had some issues with this. It was easy to add too much weight to the slide. And the left side of the awning will pin the back compartment door open if the awning closes. You can see this potential in the Winnebago site brochures.

The 40U is an improvement on the FD. It was as hard to find as hens teeth!. We drove 1200 mi to trade. I guess the best advise I can give you is find the unit you think you want and travel to see it. Consider it a vacation. Make your deal and drive it home.

Happy hunting!

Thanks for the invite. I don't know just how close we will be to you when we get to WV. things are a bit busy when we first get to a project. Group Leaders have to get ready for the 'group', if any are joining us. I trim low branches and get the sites ready usually. In any case, I will check the map later. Trying to get through these emails and then finish up the pack-up routine and hit the road.

Blessings,

Rick
