Aqua Hot exhaust

I was looking at a Winnebago Tour 42JD at the Tampa show. I noticed the exhaust for the Aqua Hot runs from the driver's side to the passenger side under one of the slide outs. Is there any issue with the exhaust getting into the coach while the slides are out?

Potentially you could have fumes come up and get into the coach. And if that was a problem, depending on where under the slide it exits, it could make use of a Genturi difficult.

Potentially it could also be a problem if you're sitting outside, typically on the passenger side and someone else is in taking a shower. That's an odd manner of installation. I wonder what their reason is?

My understanding is they could not have the exhaust under a slide, so they had so move the exhaust to the opposite side. The slide on the passenger side is almost down the whole side of the coach. This help?

The installation manual provided by Aqua-Hot is very clear on this.

Which is exactly what they did. It runs diagnally under coach from drivers side (which is a full wall slide) to passenger side ahead of rear wheel. It splits the galley and bedroom slides on passenger side. 8K miles and 6 months and no fumes noted inside coach on our Itasca 2011 42QD

That explains why it is on the passenger side. I'm surprised that they didn't just vent it out the rear. I really like the coach, you get a lot for your money.

If you have ever tried to run anything, much less anything as stiff and hot as the exhaust pipe, past the rear axle, you wouldn't be "surprised".
