We have a new, 2010 Winnebago Tour 42AD and had it about 5 months. The coach is great, but now that it is getting cool, we are finding that the Aquahot 450 unit does not seem to be very effective in heating the coach (does great for hot water). We get warm air (about 130 degrees) out of each register, but even in cool weather (50 degrees outside) this system take a very long time to raise the temp in the coach. My cheap, electric space heater does about as well.

If you have one of these in a Winnebago coach, how well does your unit work on heating? What kind of temperature do you get from the register?

Sure would like to sort this out before it gets down to really cold temps!

Thanks!

Are you running on the electric element or the diesel burner? The electric does not work nearly as well as the oil burner. Our previous rig ( Monaco Exec) got warm in a hurry when we turned on the diesel burner. If you are using the diesel and can't get warm, you have a warranty issue.

We have 2010 ellipse with aqua hot and love it! This is how we work ours, turn on diesel burner and electric burner, turn thermostat to heat, (ours has mode 1 and mode 2) set each mode to heat auto GAS, then set the temp to desired temp. Heat comes out floor vents and within minutes the coach is warm and toasty. When we first got it we tried to just set the thermostat to electric and without the diesel burner cause hubby worried about burning precious diesel, and all it did was blow cold air out the top vents. We froze like Popsicles. After a demonstration from our dealer (about the only good thing they've done, but that's a different story) we now stay nice and warm. Hope this helps.
