atwood 10 gal water heater

My atwood water heater will not light unless the electric heater is also on. turn on elec side and then lp will light and work fine. turn off elec switch and lp goes off immediately, will not relight until the elec switch is turned back on. turn on elec and lp works fine. HELP

well, believe it or not it was the circuit board. it didnt show any burn marks but it was bad. replaced it and everything works fine. thanks for all the help

Hey! mee too with my norcold fridge. board looked fine but that was the problem. It would work on AC but not on LP even though the flame was fine. new board and it's working again.

They make testers for boards but it only makes sense for techs
to spend the $$ on that
