If you crawl underneath where the parking brake shoes are, you will find the adjustment. If you've not done this kind of work, you might have an experienced person show you how. A first time adjusting parking brake can overdo it and cause brakes to drag, heat up, and fail.

Welcome, but no one can answer your question because you didn't provide sufficient chassis information. If you have a 2000 GM P-30 chassis, it has 4-wheel disc brakes (no brake shoes). And you have an Autopark system which is more complicated than a traditional parking brake or the Park pawl in the transmission. Use SEARCH on this forum to find additional information.

IF you are asking for help / info on the J71 AAPB common on many of the GM / Workhorse P32 chassis, then your best bet is to send an email to Roger HAAG at : oldusedbear11@charter.net Roger is our resident EXPERT on all things related to that AAPB system, and his help is FREE to all who ask. You can trust his advice, and it will be worth the wait to get his replies to your email.
