I was wondering if Winnebago had a solution for auto generator start for the 2011 View 24K?

Just stumbled on a generator auto start solution from Onan that sounds like it should work,

Cummins Onan RV Generator Energy Command AutoStart Control

"Cummins Onan Energy Command 30W (EC-30W)
Cummins Onan EC-30W puts RV power in the palm of your hand.
Cummins Onan Energy Command 30W consists of a receiver that is wired to the generator and a hand-held transmitter that is used to automatically start and stop the generator as required to maintain battery health and temperature inside the RV."

Anyone used the EC-30W?

Thank you,
Chris Shaker

I have one installed in my 2002 Horizon. And I love it.
Easy to install and pretty easy to use.

You do have to remember to arm it when you need it and keep it charged.

I often boondock and it is invaluable. Winter time I run the heater at night and if i forget and run the battery down it automatically starts the generator and recharges the batteries.

In the summer the heat sensor will start the generator for AC if the inside temp gets above a pre set temp. I set mine at 85 deg.

When mounting the remote try to get it fairly close to the generator set, I set mine at the other end of the coach and it sometimes lost communication so I had to move it. So put it at the 110 ac outlet closest to where the generator is.

I called my favorite local RV repair/mod shop, Coachmasters, in Bend, OR, and they told me that they have installed several of them, and that they worked great for them. They quoted me $500 for the parts and install.

Thank you,
