I need to wash the awning and de-mildew it. Last time I washed it, I put some bleach in with my car wash and it did a great job but I have been warned not to use bleach on the vinyl.

Just wondering what some of you folks use to get your's clean....

I use a Rug and Uphostery cleaner that has OxyClean in it...about 1/4 cup per gallon of water and a soft bristle brush on a extended pole. I have sprayed it on and I have just dipped the brush in it and scrubbed away, then rinse with a hose. I only clean small areas at a time and rinse thoroughly. I never let the cleaner dry on the awning. I do this when it is in the shade or it is not very hot outside.

To lessen any harm to the vinyl, what one uses must be as mild as possible.

Not sure about the bleach on vinyl but I use a mixture of bleach and water. I soak down the top with a pumpgarden sprayer. Roll it up wet. Wash the coach. Unroll and rinse both sides and let it dry before rolling back up. Works great and shines like new.

I have an A&E, don't remember the model #, but the manual says not to use bleach.
I use an awning cleaner made by Thetford that claims to renew the UV protection. It sprays on and with a little brushing and rinsing does a good job.
