Awning Repacement material

We have a 2002 Surise with an 18 ft. awning which came open in a windstorm and thus now we need to repace the fabric. Question I have found A&E awning fabric one has vinyl weathershield other has metal weathershield attached to vinyl. Can we replace with the metal weathershield awning fabric . i believe it was at Country Road RV. We do not want to go with the vinyl weathershield as we live in Southern Nevada with no cover. Also has any one used vivalon products to redo their finishes, we removed graphics and now have ghost stripes and the Mequire kit is not doing it. Thank You for any and all information you could give us. Oh our old A&E awning model 848DX18401 Serial number 13385709. We want to use our original hardware.

You will need to purchase the aluminum shield and install it. I think the best method if you want the case is to buy a whole new awning that includes the shield.

Google Stone Vos. He has awning material. I purchased a slide cover from him several years ago and it is still like new. He is located in Florida and does no installation. However, he ships. Good individual to do business with.
