I know this issue has been covered several times before in this forum, but I am having problems with the wind sensor causing my control box to beep. I have turned the sensor switch to the disable position to stop the beeping for now. My sensor is the older style located on the roof. Does A&E just replace the roof sensor or do they upgrade to the newer style located in the awning arm?

Sometimes they'll beep in real cold weather... it's the nature of them. But I see you're in Southern California so that's probably not applicable to your situation.

Like Richard, I had read in previous post that the controler would beep during cold weather when set on automatic to protect the awning. Sure enough two days later I was out side and could hear beeping. The light over my head came on and I looked at the awning control panel and sure enought it was beeping. I turned it off and it stopped. Temp? In the 30's. Maybe you had a cold snap and it set it off. No sure if it reset itself when it warms back up.
Hope this help.
