[I can tuRN it on an d works fine if in drive. Put in reverse and it goes out. In standby does not come on in reverse. Just got it any ideas? Thanks. Is 2003 adventurer if it matters

Probably a wire not hooked up. Is there 12v going to back up lights ? You can contact RV Cams: Backup Camera Systems (All) for free advice and free bench test.....if necessary.
