Think I have a bad ground connection (2003 Winnebago Adventure). Backup (rear camera display) had sound, but no picture, only a gray raster. Also when I plugged my "Brake unit monitor" (for toad) into the Cigar (or Aux 12v) the display instead of saying "Test OK", there was no horizontal, ant the letters were on the left side of the screen, stacked on top of each other.

Well, I can fix that right? Power on reset (un-plug count tom 10 and plug back in.

First clue of a bad ground! Worked right away (Brake Monitor), and at the exact same time, the rear monitor (camera) started working.

I think the ground being completed (in the brake monitor) completed the ground circuit for the camera monitor..

Any comments.. Parked the motor home at the lake after a weekend FMCA "Pioneers Rally" at Grand Casino Hinckly MN last weekend.

Bruce,

Assuring a good ground resolves 90% of the common 12 volt issues that present problems in the most weird manners.

I have the same MH. lift up the dash and you will find 3 wires going to the monitor. 1 hot, 1 hot in reverse and a ground. Run a temporary jumper from monitor ground to the ground stud uner the dash and see if that helps. I think colors are yellow hots and the white ground but you should check the prints first found on the Winni web site or give em a call.
