Basement storage in Vector

We are just about ready to purchase a used DP. Looking at an 06 Vectra 36' and an 06 Camelot 40', will decide this week. Has anyone compared the difference in storage between the storage that comes out with the sliders and the side to side straight thru in a Camelot for example.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Good luck with your decision. If it were me I would take the Vecta. You might have better luck asking in a more appropriate forum. This is the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers forum. It is a "travel club" for Winnebago and Itasca owners.

If the storage compartment hangs under, as part of the slide, you will probably be limited on the weight you'll want to load in there.

My '07 Winni's long driver's side slide is configured that way so I load only the lighter objects in there. chairs, hoses and slinkys, cleaning equipment, small grills, etc.

The heavier objects like tool box, blocking lumber, etc go in compartments not hanging from the slides. It's nice to have both types, imho.

Both are nice rigs, however. Good luck.
