I was doing a pre-inspection of my 2010 Journey 40L with 1,800 miles before our trip next weekend , which is about a 1000 plus miles, while in the battery compartment I noticed what I assume is the Master bus fuse for the coach, the negative cable runs directly next to and on the "bare" terminal studs for the bus fuse, with no outer insulator on the negative cable. I noticed a indentation in the negative cable from the stud, with time I'm sure this could have been a rub thru ..

Just a FYI for others , I cut two small pieces of rubber vacumm hose and slip them over the end of the buse fuse studs to correct my issue.

You should also check for contact points when the trays are extended or retracted. I covered those points with split heater hose.

If it is the negative cable it is hooked to the chassis so if it shorts out to a metal chassis part.. No harm done... Just so you know.

Now if it's the positive cable (Which is where the fuse is normally placed.. Major issue if it shorts out (Smoke, fire and sparks, or sparks and blown fuse)

DO NOT TRUST COLOR.. Positive cables are often black and I've seen red on the negative.
