Battery charging ?

I'm trying to learn about my new to me Adventurer. Which device handles the battery charging when on AC or genset is running. My Dimension 12/130 TL inverter or the Magnetek converter? Thanks.

The converter gives you 12 volt charging the inverter converts 12 volt to 110/120 alt current. Hope this helps.

Congratulations on your new coach. We had the Itasca version of that coach as a 96. My wife still feels it was the best coach we've had since it had great amounts of storage space.

Thanks Bayway. I was getting confused reading about other folks problems with their inverters boiling their batteries. I'm assuming that my Dimension inverter has no battery charging capacity and simply powers the VCR and TV for when boondocking. Hope I've got this right.

Thanks for the well wishes Robb, you're correct about storage space! I'll have to have a master sheet to identify "what" compartment has "what" stored in it. Inside and out...plenty of room for my stuff!

My previous coach was a '99 Adventurer ...

The inverter was located in the front overhead cabinet on the curb side ... when turned on it powered only the TV and VCR ... if I wanted 120V AC for any other purpose (when not plugged into shore power or running the generator) I had to use a stand alone inverter that plugged into the cigarette lighter ... (for instance using my laptop and GPS)

The converter was mounted on the floor underneath the kitchen cabinets ... you could see it by removing a cabinet drawer ... you could hear it's fan run when you were plugged into shore power and using lights ... all of your lights are 12V and are powered by your house batteries ... the converter keeps your house batteries charged ...

Adventurers are very good coaches ...

How right you are re. Adventurer's. As I go along learning, system by system, I'm finding alot to like about how things work.
How are you with the water system? My pump seems to pulse on/off when running water and it seems to be associated with the accumulator tank. Do you know the air pressure psi required for the accumulator tank?

A good start is 20 psi when the tank is empty. A purist would say to set it to the cut-on pressure of your water pump. I just used 20 psi and it works fine.

Our Adventurer had an accumulator tank ... I never touched the pressure of the tank ... the purpose of the accumulator is to keep the flow of water more or less constant from your faucets ...

The water pumps from those years supplied water at a fixed rate and cycle on and off ... the accumulator tank "evens" out the flow and allows the pump to have slightly longer cycles ... current models of water pumps supply water at a variable rate and seldom have accumulator tanks

Thanks for the info. I think the first thing I'll do is put an air pressure guage on the tank and see what pressure it is holding.
Skigramps, from what you've just described, sounds like my system is operating as designed. My confusion comes from my TT usage. No accumulator tank present on that. Faucet on...pump on. The moho however, faucet on, water flows, a few seconds later the pump starts and then begins to cycle on/off every 8-10 seconds with a runtime of 4-6 seconds.
As long as a faucet is open, this is what I experience.
